Improving websites for users with poor network connectivity, using new browser APIs.
Offline capability is an area where the web is playing catchup with native apps. But with browsers starting to include APIs to control of how they interact with the network, we now have possibilities for enhance our websites when under sub-par network conditions.
I'll give an brief introduction to what these APIs do and how you might use them.
We'll then look at an example Drupal site and consider how we might improve it for users with sketchy mobile signals or dodgy wifi.
